This website emerged from a larger historical project focusing on aspects of Fremantle’s cultural and industrial history.  The project was entitled “Voices of the West End: The Fremantle Living Histories Project” and drew together a range of university, museum and local community historians.  A major emphasis was on exploring issues of migrant experience and the diversity of Fremantle culture.  This website  pursues these same interests but in a more contemporary context.  It employs the medium of the modern Web 2.0 social networking site to enable a site-specific form of community reflection and creative practice.
