The monument is a great place to escape the city scape….In my car, I park for some quiet time only to have a work vehicle with 2 burly guys park directly in front of me, windscreen to windscreen, so that I can be their visual entertainment….
Another escape, under the influence and feeling emotional, me and my friend cry for hours under the war phallus, next to the missile, watch the colours of the sky change and wonder why there are no memorials to that.
The impossile green lawns and well kept flower beds struggle to be noticed as a triumph of civility in a chaotic culture of disorder….they make me laugh with their nostagia…I dream of defacing the anglo symbol of colonial righteousness.. .the news channel’s outrage…ha ha

We bicycled up to Monument Hill in the middle of the night. With a rug we stole from kurbside. We interrupted a couple snuggled into the hill. The lights were beautiful. A passenger cruise ship docked in the harbour was lit up like a Christmas tree.

This is my first time at Monument Hill. It reminds me of a hill of monumental proportions.
