This work depicts aspects of our friend Michael Mcghie’s relationship with Fremantle as prawn fisherman, boat builder, and artist. In contrast to the presentation of Fremantle as a Fish N Chips vision-scape for the consumptive delight of tourists, we have built a scenic map that charts Michael’s past life (s) in Fremantle, what it meant to him then, and what it means to him now.
